BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Union workers for Connecticut Light & Power will begin voting today on a contract that most aren't happy about.

The leadership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has recommended that CL&P workers reject the contract.

A rejection will authorize a strike, but the workers won't immediately be going out on the picket line.

The two sides are butting heads over overtime and staffing. Their previous contract expired in June.

The workers will be voting both today and Friday.
