WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles employees are showing how much they care by donating pajamas to children in need.
DMV Commissioner Melody A. Currey says she's proud of the employees who collected 100 pairs of PJs and donated them to the state chapter of the Pajama Program, a nationwide organization that supports needy families.
Connecticut chapter leader Janet Estevez says the pajamas make "a world of difference" to the children who get them.
The DMV said Thursday employees Kathy Gagnon and Paula Jervasi led the collection efforts and delivered the pajamas on Valentine's Day.
The pajamas were in all sorts of sizes, designs and colors. They'll go to various organizations throughout the state.
