ROCKY HILL, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut Innovations, the state's quasi-public authority responsible for technology-based economic development, has begun a student intern program intended to spur job growth and keep workers in the state.
To be eligible for the Technology Talent Bridge Program, companies must engage a student or team of students to work on a project involving a technological challenge or problem that can be solved in three to nine months.
The first internships are expected to begin in the summer and fall of 2012 and continue into the fall and winter months.
Grants of up to $25,000 per project are available to participating businesses and are to be used primarily to pay student interns. Businesses may apply for one grant per year.
