Windsor Locks, Conn. (WTNH) - A Windsor Locks Police sergeant charged with interfering with an accident investigation is now out of a job.
The police commission has voted to fire Sergeant Robert Koistinen.
In October of 2010, a car driven by his son, former Officer Michael Koistinen, hit and killed 15-year-old bicyclist Henry Dang.
Robert Koistinen was the first police supervisor on the scene.
According to police, he removed his son from the scene and prevented authorities from administering a blood alcohol test.
Michael Koistinen is awaiting trial for manslaughter.
