PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three men are in police custody this morning after a rollover crash that left a stolen car in the front yard of a Plainville home.
After police responded to cars being broken into on East Maple Street around 3:30 AM, a chase ensued before the car lost control and flipped. Pictures from the scene show a vehicle on its roof in the front yard of a home.
"That's when I looked out the window and saw all the commotion," said neighbor Nick Forcella.
"We just saw them rushing over here and them saying 'get the dogs, he ran on foot' and we live right behind this house. So, we were kind of nervous he was going to run into our house," said neighbor Keri Plantamuro.
Police say the three people in the car were able to crawl through the shattered rear window and flee the scene on foot.
The car that was crashed was 1999 Honda Civic, which was reported stolen early this morning in Middletown.
A 15-year-old male, from the crash, was found shortly after, walking near the crash site. He was then transported to Hartford Hospital for his injuries.
One of the adult males was found later at Hartford Hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries.
Police found the other adult male three hours later, hiding in shrubbery near the crash site. While he had some injuries, he refused hospital transportation.
"I've never seen anything like this happen before. I'm just glad that they caught him," said Forcella.
"I was surprised about what happened. This neighborhood is such a quiet neighborhood," said neighbor Denis Boutin.
All three are suspects in recent burglaries in Plainville and surrounding areas.
The case is still being investigated by Plainville police. The names and charges of the two adults will be released later today.
The crash took out a utility pole, and a Connecticut Light & Power crew was on the scene to make a replacement.
