Fire breaks out at Yankee Gas building

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters were called to a generator fire outside the Yankee Gas building in Berlin early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out around 7 a.m. at the building which sits on the Northeast Utilities Campus.

Officials tell News 8 the small fire broke out in the large generator that sits about 30 feet from the building.

The building was evacuated, but the employees have been allowed back in.

No one was injured.
