WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- No one was injured, but three West Hartford businesses were damaged by a fire Tuesday morning.
Employees at McFadden’s on LaSalle Road were closing up for the night when they reported seeing smoke just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Firefighters determined the smoke was coming from Reuben’s deli, the bar's neighbor on LaSalle Road. Officials say the deli was under renovation.
The fire was declared under control by 2:22 a.m. Reuben’s deli sustained fire damage while McFadden’s and Central Optica, another neighboring business, were damaged by smoke and water.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
