West Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital after a carbon monoxide detector was activated in a West Hartford home Tuesday.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m., at a home located at 6 Fulton Place.
Upon arrival, the West Hartford Fire Department found high levels of CO in the home. Officials said a contractor using gasoline powered equipment in the basement of an attached addition was the cause.
Both adults and both children were taken to Hartford Hospital.
Officials said CO and fumes were removed using fire department fans, and the gasoline powered appliances were removed by the contractor.
