HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and first lady Cathy Malloy say the Governor's Residence in Hartford is decorated to the hilt for the holidays and is ready for this weekend's annual open house.

The free public viewings are set for Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Musical performances are planned for all three days, including one by the U.S. Coast Guard Glee Club on Friday morning and two by high school choirs from West Hartford on Sunday.

Guests can buy the governor's annual holiday ornament for $20. Proceeds will go to the nonprofit group that manages the residence and its property.

The governor says many of this year's decorations are from his family, and others were donated by local organizations.
