Hartford pedestrian hit by a car while crossing the street

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)-- A woman was hit by a car while crossing a street in Hartford on Friday evening.

Police say the female was crossing a street in the area of 112 Sigourney Street around 6 PM, when a car traveling northbound hit her. The car then stuck a building at 190 Farmington Avenue.

The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police haven't released anymore information at this time.
