Hiker hospitalized after Ragged Mountain fall

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A hiker was taken to the hospital after being rescued in Berlin late Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Ragged Mountain, near West Lane.

Authorities say a 19-year-old woman jumped off a rock on the mountain trying to land in a reservoir below, and hurt herself when she landed wrong.

She was taken to Hartford Hospital.

The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
