House fire reported in Canton

Canton, Conn. (WTNH) - Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire in Canton Friday morning.
The fire broke out at the single family home at 24 South Street.
A female resident was inside the house when the fire started, and it was she who called for help.
Officials say there were no injuries to the family, pets, or firefighters who were called to the scene.
It appears that the fire started on the second story porch and then spread to the back of the house.
The fire remains under investigation.
