Man dies after crashing car into pole

East Granby, Conn. (WTNH) -- An East Granby man died after crashing into a utility pole in town Saturday night.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m., on South Main St.

Police said 35-year-old David Myers was driving southbound on South Main St. when he swerved into the northbound lane, and then back into the southbound lane. Myers then left the road and struck a utility pole in the area of 88 South Main St.

Myers was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no one else in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
