Bristol, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are working to identify a body that was discovered by a man in Bristol while walking his dog Wednesday.

The body was located in a wooded area, across from 180 Old Wolcott Rd.

Bristol Police said due to the state of decomposition it was obvious that the body had been there for several months.

Police believe the body to be that of a man.

An autopsy will be conducted at the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death and help with the identification.
