WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (AP) — A 73-year-old Connecticut woman who had been reported missing was found walking along Interstate 91 after her car veered off the highway and crashed.
The Hartford Courant reports that Anna Deleo of Wethersfield had last been seen Tuesday night at the family business, a Windsor Locks pizzeria. An alert was issued after she didn't arrive at her home in Wethersfield.
State police received several reports of a woman along southbound I-91 in Wethersfield on Wednesday morning.
Police say Deleo told troopers she felt ill just before the crash, then lost control.
Her car went through an opening in the guardrail, then slid into a wooded area and struck a tree.
Police say Deleo told troopers she was wearing her seatbelt and did not appear to suffer serious injuries.
