PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) -- A moose was tranquilized after roaming through an urban area of Plainville Tuesday.

The moose was found in a yard at 38 Maple St.

According to DEEP officials, the 676 lb. bull moose is approximately two years old and is in good physical condition.

After being tranquilized the moose was relocated to a remote area in northwestern Connecticut.

The moose had crossed New Britain Avenue and there was concern it would do so again.
