WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Some familiar faces were swinging for the fences on Saturday all for a good cause.
The News 8 softball team took on teams representing other Connecticut tv stations in the second annual Battle of the Media Charity Tournament.
The action got underway at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mill Woods Park in Wethersfield.
News 8 earned bragging rights after they beat all four of their competitors.
However the big winner, the team's charity, is The Smilow Cancer Center, in honor of Dr. Mel.
