Hartford targets mosquitoes

    Hartford (WTNH) - The city of Hartford is targeting mosquitoes with larvicide.

    The goal is to kill mosquito eggs in catch basins and wetland areas to prevent the possible spread of West Nile Virus.

    If you want to prevent mosquitoes from breeding near your home, get rid of standing water and be sure to clean clogged roof gutters. Mosquitoes only need a small amount of water to lay their eggs.
