Person struck by train in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) -- A person was struck by a train in Windsor Locks Wednesday morning.

Police confirm it happened around 7:30 a.m. just north of the Route 140 and Bridge Street Bridge.

Amtrak train 495 was heading from Springfield to New Haven when it struck the person. Amtrak service was delayed as a result of the investigation, but it has since been restored.

None of the train's 19 passengers or crews members were injured. The passengers were bused to their final locations.

The identity of the person is not known.
