MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for the suspect involved in a home invasion.
On Jan. 29 around 7:20 p.m. a Hispanic male allegedly entered a home on Woodland Street, police said.
The victim reported that the suspect had entered her apartment while she was with a small child.
Police said when the suspect encountered the resident, a brief struggle ensued and the suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a dark "beanie" style hat. He also had a backpack with him.
The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries and refused further medical treatment, police said.
The suspect appeared to be looking for specific items that he believed were inside the home so it appears the residence was targeted and not chosen at random.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester Police at (860) 645-5510.
