Police search for South Windsor teen

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for a missing teenager from South Windsor.

Seventeen-year-old Jamal M. Butler was last seen at his home on Friday morning.

Butler is described as a black man, approximately 5'8" tall, and weighing 150 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a red weatherproof jacket, a hat and backpack with embroidered "NY" initials on both.

Police believe Butler may be in the Torrington area and may have plans on traveling to New York City for the New Year's Eve festivities.

Anyone with information on Butler’s whereabouts is asked to contact the South Windsor Police at (860) 644-2551 or to call their local police.
