HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a 2008 double fatal shooting.
According to police, both men were shot in the chest by an occupant of a white four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissan Maxima, as they walked in the vicinity of 28 Edwards St., on August 25, 2008.
Both victims, 23-year-old Carlos Ortiz Jr. and 21-year-old Lamar Gresham, died at the scene.
"Investigators from the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have been investigating the incident since 2008," said Police Chief Rovella. "Hopefully, the posting of this cash reward will prompt individuals who may have information to step forward and assist investigators in identifying those responsible."
Anyone with information about the shootings, no matter how minor, is asked to contact Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division Detective Anthony Rykowski at 860-757-4212 or Sergeant Brandon O'Brien at 860-757-4089. Anonymous, confidential tips, may be made by contacting Hartford Crime Stoppers at 860-722-TIPS (8477) or online at Hartford Crime Stoppers.
