Route 3 in Rocky Hill closed

Rocky Hill, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 3 is expected to be closed for quite some time after a water main broke in the area of Inwood Road.

The road was closed at 3:50 p.m. and workers say they expect the closure to last until about 10 p.m.

As a result of the water main break, a large sink hole developed on the side of the road.

Both the north and southbound lanes on Cromwell Ave. will be closed from Brook Street in Rocky Hill to the Cromwell town line.
