HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)-- Several people were hurt after a hit and run crash along Trumbull Street in Hartford on Saturday.

Police say shortly before 4 PM, a red Mustang lost control while turning, hitting three pedestrians, before crashing into a building.

Garaldo Luciano, 27, injured several people when he drove up onto a curb on Trumbull and Asylum Street.

The pedestrians were taken to area hospitals and are in stable condition.

There were also four female passengers in the car. They jumped out of the vehicle, around the corner from the accident.

Three of the passengers were injured in the crash and are being treated.

The driver fled on to the highway, where he then crashed again, near exit 34 on I-91 North.

Hartford police chased Luciano and he was eventually caught and arrested in Windsor.

Luciano was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and improper U-turn. He will appear in court on Monday.

Police say the case was solved quickly due to a lot of witnesses and officers present for the St.Patrick's Day parade.
