Stand-off ends, man sent to hospital

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- A stand-off ended when police located a man who was refusing to leave his residence.

Police say that a despondent man was involved with a stand-off in his house at 15 Apple Orchard Road.

Area residents were urged by police to stay inside their homes. It was originally feared that the man had access to weapons.

The man was removed from the home and has been transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
