Teen mom sexually assaults child

ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) - A teenage girl is in jail after being accused of sexually assaulting her few-month-old baby boy.

The incident happened in Enfield.

According to court documents, Kelsey Albertson used her cell phone to take pictures of herself engaged in a sex act with her baby boy.

"Seventeen year olds are having children and they are babies themselves, they are not responsible, they have no responsibilities, how are they supposed to bring up their own children?" said Betsy Wasilewski of Springfield.

The arrest papers go on to describe how Albertson allegedly sends the pictures to her boyfriend, who texts back "that's hot." Eventually the pictures are shown around and a witness called police.

"I think that the internet has a lot to do with it, they put everything on there, and everything is so open, it's gross," said Denise Boucher of Sommers.

"Nothing shocks me right now, really kids now a days, it's anything goes. kids are sexting, and all the things they are doing, it's completely different, it is a completely different world these days," said Wasilewski.

Because Albertson was only 17 at the time of the crime she was charged as a juvenile, but when she went to court the judge decided that she would be tried as an adult because the allegations are so horrific.
