Glastonbury, Conn.(WTNH) – Members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force arrested two people on drug charges Friday night after receiving tip.
Alexander Carrasco and Yarixia Garcia were arrested in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on 3040 Main St. in Glastonbury.
Task force members received information that Carrasco would arrive at the Dunkin Donuts in his white Chrysler 300 to sell heroin and crack cocaine. Task force members set up surveillance in the parking lot and detained Carrasco when he arrived in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m.
Task force members seized crack cocaine and marijuana from the vehicle.
Carassco was later observed on video, in his cell, flushing 4 bundles (approximately 40 bags) of heroin down the toilet.
Carassco, 21, of East Hartford, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana and tampering with evidence. His bond is set at $250,000 bond
Yarixia Garcia, 27, of Hartford, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell among other charges. Her bond is set at $50,000 bond.
