SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- A truck from Illinois was issued several tickets after police determined it violated several safety violations.
24-year-old Sayan Batorov of Illinois was pulled over on John Fitch Blvd in South Windsor on Tuesday as part of the "Click It or Ticket" campaign.
As officer inspected the truck, which was hauling frozen food for Windsor Foods, they found it had 25 violations, eight of which were out of service violations.
Police say over 20% of the brakes were defective; one was inoperable, one was a shredded tire, four of the fires were bald, and a broken trailer cross member was rubbing another tire.
The trucking company, T-Line Trucking of Naperville, Illinois, got a $620 ticket for defective brakes, defective tires, no fuel tax stamp, and failure to display plate. Batorov was given a $276 ticket for log book violations, no pre-trip inspection, and a flat tire.
