Plainville, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people are hospitalized in serious condition following a one car crash in Plainville late Tuesday night.
Police say 24 year old Daisy Torres-Muniz was driving at a high rate of speed eastbound on New Britain Ave. at 11: 48pm when she lost control and struck a utility pole near Crooked St.
She and her passenger, 38 year old Marilyn Rivera were ejected from the car.
Torres is at Hartford Hospital and Rivera is at Waterbury Hospital.
Police are investigating whether alcohol played a factor in the crash and are asking anyone who may have information on the women's whereabouts prior to the accident or witnessed the accident to call police at 860-747-1616.
