WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- Public works crews in Windsor were trying to fix two unrelated water main breaks Thursday morning.
The first was on Palisado Ave./Route 159 near the intersection of Pierson Lane. The 16 inch main was installed in 1958. This break affects 17 homes. Customers could be without water until noon.
The other break was on Portman St. near the intersection of Deerfield Road. That's a smaller six inch main that was installed more than 85 years ago. Twenty-two homes were affected. The break has been repaired and the road is back open.
Once service is restored, customers are advised to run water in the bathtub for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
