WESTBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) -- Those who have survived breast cancer or are in recovery may benefit from a treatment being researched by one group of survivors.
Del Function Inc. is now working with Waterbury Hospital to look at the benefits of allowing survivors to spend one hour lying in the hull of a sailboat.
The group which has been using a boat in Westbrook says the motion brings patients back to a time before they were sick.
"Talk about removing stress, it really is a mind blower," said Carline Lutynski, Del Function Inc. "Of all the relaxation techniques and so forth this you don't do anything, it's the wave motion that does this and it's such a natural motion."
The group is hoping someone will donate a boat so they can provide this treatment more often and can bring it those who need it.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
