HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- In tough economic times many people go without dental care, but one Connecticut dentist is doing his part to help others in his community.
Doctor Gary Pearl is teaming up with the non profit group Dentistry from the Heart to offer free dental services on Wednesday at Pearl Dental Care at 1834 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.
"It's harder for people these days, you know, I mean unemployment is higher and a lot of people don't have dental coverage, and dentistry is expensive, healthcare's expensive, so yeah we're going to be busy tomorrow," Dr. Pearl said.
The free dental care runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
The first 100 patients can get a free filling, extraction, or cleaning.
