Middletown, Conn. (WTNH) - Up to two thousand Connecticut residents are expected to receive free dental care at a clinic in Middletown.
The Connecticut Mission of Mercy dental clinic will provide free cleanings, fillings, extractions and root canals to anyone who needs these services.
The clinic takes place at the Aetna building on Industrial Park Road in Middletown Friday and Saturday. Dental care will be provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments will be made.
There is no eligibility or income requirements to be seen.
Doors open at 8:00 a.m.
The first Mission of Mercy in Tolland in 2008 served about 1,100 patients and $500,000 worth of dental care was provided. Last year in New Haven, 1,800 patients were treated, and $750,000 worth of dental care was provided.
This year organizers expect to see up to two thousand patients.
