New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - If you have Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield as your health insurance, you may soon no longer be able to go to the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven.

The insurance company has sent a letter to its members saying the hospital intends to end its contract with Anthem on April 1st if they can't agree on a contract.

"Please be assured that we will continue to work diligently to reach an agreement with the Hospital of St. Raphael before March 31st," Anthem President David Fusco said in the letter.

In a message on its Web site, the hospital said "These negotiations are important to ensure that the Hospital of Saint Raphael is paid fairly for the care it provides."

Fusco directed Anthem's subscribers to contact the company or visit their Web site to find alternate participating hospitals.

The hospital statement said "Saint Raphael’s and Anthem have a long-standing, collaborative relationship and fully anticipate reaching an agreement prior to April 1."
