BETHLEHEM, Conn. (WTNH) -- Dozens of dogs were seized from a Bethlehem barn Thursday.
Around 3 p.m., police executed a search and seizure warrant for cruelty to animals at a residence on Watertown Road, in Morris. However, the property to be searched was located in Bethlehem.
Police said a large barn on the property containing approximately 60 crated dogs of various sizes and breeds was searched.
The domestic animals were discovered to be in various states of health and living conditions were deemed inadequate.
The animals were taken to area shelters and kennels for treatment.
The case is under investigation.
