Barkhamsted man seriously hurt in crash

Winchester, Conn (WTNH) - A 26-year-old Barkhamsted man is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle in the Winsted section of Winchester Saturday.

Police say William Benbow was seriously injured after he lost control of his motorcycle while riding northbound on Torrington Street in the area of Greenwoods Country Club in Winsted. Benbow sustained significant head and facial injuries, and was transported by Lifestar to Hartford Hospital. Officers said his condition is listed as critical.
