Car in the water, one person rescued

KENT, Conn. (WTNH) -- One person was rescued from a car that ended up in the water at Macedonia State Park on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Police say that the car was found resting in a brook in the State Park and that one person had to be rescued from the vehicle.

The person inside the car was transported to New Milford Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

There was no word on the condition of the person or the cause of the incident.

State Police and DEEP are on the scene investigating.
