BRIDGEWATER, Conn. (AP) — FBI agents have raided the town hall in the quiet western Connecticut town of Bridgewater.
The building was locked Wednesday afternoon as agents were seen removing boxes from the building.
The reason for the raid was not immediately clear.
FBI spokesman Daniel Curtin acknowledged the presence of FBI agents at the town hall but said he could not provide additional details.
The Republican-American newspaper reported that agents were interviewing the town clerk and the town treasurer.
