PLYMOUTH, Conn. (WTNH) -- Four Terryville firefighters have received awards for saving a man in a fire last year.

Asst. Chief Ray Kovaleski and firefighters Frank Wollman, Joe Riely, John Hawes and Walter Seamean, all from Terryville Fire Department, were selected to receive recognition.

This comes in response to their efforts in the September 14th, 2011 fire, in which a man from Terryville was rescued from a burning building.

The event to honor the men for their efforts took place Saturday morning at North Haven High School.
