New Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters say a fire that started in a garage spread to New Hartford home, gutting the inside.
Firefighters were called to the home on Cotton Hill Road around 9 Friday morning.
The family and two dogs were able to get out safely.
One firefighter was taken away on a stretcher. No word on how serious his injuries are.
