Salisbury (WTNH) - Search crews are out on the Housatonic River in Salisbury looking for a teen that was swept away in the strong currents.

Sixteen year old Kaelan Paton of Sharon was swimming with some friends yesterday afternoon and was swept away. Crews were able to rescue his friends who were found clinging to a rock.

After searching into the evening yesterday, police are now calling it a recovery effort.

A memorial page on Facebook has already popped up as family and friends of the teen try to cope with the loss.
