Winsted (WTNH) - Several people were taken to the hospital after being sickened by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Nine people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday night in Winsted from a lakehouse on East Wakefield Boulevard.
Police say two people were unconscious inside a home being powered by a generator.
After entering the building to help seven rescue workers also had to be rushed to the hospital after feeling the effects of the carbon monoxide.
There was no update on how everyone is doing this morning.
