Plymouth, Conn (WTNH) - Plymouth police have arrested one man after an almost seven hour standoff late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
At 11:40pm, police were called to a home on Orchard Street to investigate reports of gunfire being heard. When they arrived on the scene, officers heard gunshots from inside the home.
Plymouth and state police secured the area, and then began talking with Shawn Saucier, 39, of Terryville, who was holding up inside the house. Over the course of the overnight hours, officers negotiated with Saucier. The situation was diffused around 6:20am. Police entered the home, and Saucier was taken into custody.
Saucier has been charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and other charges. He is currently being held on $250,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Monday.
