KENT, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut police resumed a search for a missing Cromwell woman after her dog was found near where her car was located in Kent earlier this week.

The Middletown Press reports that a passer-by found Carmen Kotula's chocolate Labrador on Thursday about a half-mile from where her car was discovered. Police say the dog was a little dehydrated but otherwise healthy. Kotula's other dog, a boxer, was found in Sharon on Feb. 24.

The 52-year-old Kotula told a neighbor on Feb. 21 that she was going to Minnesota to look for a new job. She hasn't been seen since. Her car was found in a secluded part of Kent on Monday.

Police had called off the search for Kotula on Wednesday.
