Students fell through ice near school

TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two high school students fell through the ice on a pond in Torrington Thursday morning.

Police said the Torrington High School students were walking across a pond near the school around 7 a.m. when they broke through the ice.

The duo were able to get themselves out.

Police said one was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for evaluation, but both seemed okay.
