Suspicious death in Plymouth

State Police investigating

Plymouth, Conn (WTNH) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a suspicious death on Lane Hill Road in the Terryville section of Plymouth.

Just after 1:10pm Wednesday, the Plymouth Police Department received a 911 call reporting the discovery of a body in a wooded area near Lane Hill Road in Terryville. Plymouth police officers arrived on the scene to confirm the report.

State police were dispatched to the scene to assist Plymouth with the investigation. Initial examination of the scene by State Police Detectives confirmed the suspicious death of a male subject. The identity of the deceased male has not been released.

A post mortem examination of the body has been scheduled to determine the manner and cause of death.

State Police are on scene conducting the investigation being assisted by the Plymouth Police Department. Anyone with any information is asked to call 860-626-7900.
