Thomaston, Conn. (WTNH) - Thomaston High School was evacuated on suspicions of a bomb threat.

At 1:15 p.m., a student went to the assistant principal after finding a crumbled note that read "bomb the school at 1:18."

Officers arrived at the school in three minutes.

All the school's students and staff were loaded into 11 waiting buses and taken away.

The state bomb squad then arrived at the school to investigate.

The school's superintendent said the situation is under control and everyone is safe.
