Woman, dog escape from burning house

Watertown, Conn. (WTNH) - A fire was reported on Litchfield Road in Watertown around 3am Wednesday morning. 

Mutual aid from surrounding towns was called in.

Fire crews say it happened with a fire going in the fire place and caused by a problem with the construction.

A woman and her dog escaped.

This was the fourth fire reported between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, the others happened in Rocky Hill , West Hartford and Glastonbury .
