CHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- Divers will be back in the Connecticut River in Chester this morning looking for a man who disappeared after he was pulled underwater in the Connecticut River Sunday afternoon, officials say.
The location of the incident is near Chester Point Marina on 60 Railroad Avenue.
A 36-year-old man and his brother were swimming off a dock to a boat when the current pulled one of them underwater.
The swimmer's brother returned to the boat to put a life jacket on and attempted a rescue. A bystander saw the incident taking place and pulled the brother, who was not drowning, on a Jetski.
Crews are looking for the lost swimmer. The search was temporarily delayed due to severe weather, resumed, and then was suspended until this morning.
