EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Belltown will ring again: that was the resounding message heard in East Hampton Tuesday night.
At a special town council meeting they tried to come up with ideas on how to help the charred company take form again.
"It's a Bevin bell of course it sounds good."
It also sounds good to many residents that the 180-year-old company wants to rebuild.
Owner Matt Bevin broke down thinking about his employees and their families.
"That is the American dream," Bevin said.

Also, they plan to sell small sleigh bells which survived the fire as a fundraiser.
"...to try and do something positive," Berescik said.
The survivor candles can be purchased at the strawberry festival this weekend.
The town council members say they'll do whatever they can to help. They are contacting state and federal agencies to see if there are any grants they can apply for to keep the historic company from becoming extinct.
